I’m proud to declare Friday, February 3, 2023, Coach Roger Cador Day in Baton Rouge to commemorate his induction into the School Baseball Corridor of Fame at a ceremony in Omaha, Nebraska. Cador managed the Southern College Jaguars for 33 seasons (1984-2017) and constructed one of the vital profitable traditionally black faculty applications within the nation. Throughout his tenure, Cador led the Jaguars to 2 HBCU Nationwide Championships, 14 SWAC titles, 11 NCAA match appearances and compiled a file of 913-597-1. His program produced 10 All Individuals and 62 draftees. Cador was named SWAC Coach of the Yr 13 instances and is a member of the SWAC Corridor of Fame and the Louisiana Sports activities Corridor of Fame for his time as a participant for Southern College from 1970 to 1973. Southern College has extra inductions within the Nationwide School Baseball Corridor of Fame than another HBCU within the nation.
